Activists on scene set up a Forest Crimes Scene complete with police tape, chalk outlines, and wanted posters.
Amid siren sounds and flashing lights, the first activists to arrive on the premises cordoned off areas with yellow forest crime scene tape. Teams canvassed the area, speaking with neighbors, putting up ‘wanted’ posters, and marking chalk outlines of the victims of clearcutting on the pavement outside the building: trees, caribou, bears, and other Boreal forest creatures.
Kimberly-Clark and Kleenex are wanted for environmental crimes against ancient forests. Greenpeace’s crack team of forest crimes agents has been investigating the company’s nefarious activities since 2003. In the course of its investigations, the team has uncovered hard evidence against the company including massive clearcuts in northern Ontario Alberta, and warehouses full of disposable tissue products made of 100% virgin tree fibre.
