Why am I involved with Greenpeace?

Simple.

In the last hundred years, technology has leaped far beyond anything humankind has ever seen. From science to transport, from agriculture to medicine, every aspect of our lives has been changed drastically in a century's time. As everything has got faster, the depletion of our natural resources, the destruction of our ecosystem and the poisoning of our lands, oceans and air through pollution has made a turn for the worse.

We are at a point in our history where we have all the tools to make it right but the decisions of men are still making it wrong.

Greenpeace lets me give a fighting chance to our future, to our children's future. Everytime I can reach out to people, make them aware and help our cause, I know that I did it not only for me, but for all of you. My family and friends are worried about climate changes, so are the people that I meet everyday in my travels.

Perhaps we even met and spoke together, traded a smile, shared a joke or a worry...

And all I see is hope.

When we do an action, I see how dedicated everyone is to make sure all of our voices are heard, that pacifism goes hand in hand with the strength of our conviction. To make sure that Greenpeace, me, you and all of us are heard. Everyday I see more and more people asking questions to their governments, putting pressure on companies to remember that all that we do to the earth we do to ourselves, and that taking care of our environment is taking care of ourselves.

The work we all have to do is still pretty massive, but it can and will be done.

Don't forget: Actions speak louder than words.

I'll see you all soon =)
